Affordable Housing

  • We will ban companies and private equity firms from being able to purchase single family houses. Houses are meant to be for families, not for profit.

  • Tenants deserve legislation that will hold landlords accountable to repairs and offering a livable space, and in addition guarantee that tenants are safe from unlawful and immoral evictions.

  • The zoning laws in our state are archaic and restrict the ability for housing diversity and contractors from building homes where families need and want them most.

Accessible Healthcare

  • Ensuring employers cover not just basic charges, but all of the medical expenses that are tied to your employer’s insurance plan.

  • We will break up the insurance conglomerates that refuse and deny your claims all in the name of profit. We will also be reviewing non-profit statuses when patients are the ones stuck paying the bill.

  • You deserve a Medicaid-for-all. One that isn’t just a last resort, but is a comprehensive plan for you and your entire family

Protecting the Working class

  • Everyone agrees you can’t survive on $7.25 an hour. It’s time our state treated all workers better and paid them a living wage.

  • The way the working class stays in charge isn’t just in the statehouse, but at the job. Whether you are part of an existing union or looking to start one, we will create programs that will assist all organizing efforts for the working class. This includes removing the restrictions of unionization within the state and city level where possible.

  • The Right to Work law is a deliberate way to harm union power and chip away at working class solidarity. We will repeal this ridiculous law and stand for working Hoosiers.

Childcare for working families

  • Working class families deserve to be able to know their child is in a safe and reputable day/childcare facility without it bankrupting them. We will capping costs so families can truly afford to be taken care.

  • Everyone deserves to fully enjoy the beauty of starting a family. We will enact protected paid leave for parents taking care of their newborns.

  • Creating incentives and worker programs to help train dedicated childcare workers that feel supported and part of their community.

Protected Rights for all

  • It starts with repealing Senate Bill 76, and pushing further by ending all cooperation with the ICE agency. Further more allowing cities to classify as sanctuary cities for people who choose to call Indiana home.

  • Women deserve access to safe, affordable, and legal abortions throughout the state.

  • We will create stronger and more enforceable anti-discrimination laws that apply to all employers, state, city, county, and township entities to ensure all people in Indiana are treated with dignity, respect, and humanity.

Data Centers

  • I am in full support of a Data Center moratorium. The residents of Indiana deserve a pause on new constructions while we reign in trillion dollar companies from recking our backyards and our electrical grid.

  • We will enact restrictions on current constructions to ensure these companies do not harm the environment and residents near these constructions. This includes the sound and light pollution, water tables, and emissions from operation.

  • No more tax breaks on the ultra-wealthy tech giants that ignore our privacy and demands for transparency. If they want to build in Indiana they have to pay full price.

Taxing the Rich

  • Increasing our Corporate Tax Rate to 7.5% to match our Midwest neighbors means more funding for working class Hoosiers.

  • Creating incentives and benefits for small and local business operators that big corporations aren’t allowed to take advantage of.

  • We will enact a one time 5% wealth tax on those valued at $100 Million or more.

Roads and Transit

  • Ensuring local governments and departments are fully funded to fix the crumbling infrastructure and fill in the onslaught of potholes.

  • We will assist towns and cities to plan bus routes and invest in public transit options that meet the needs of residents.

  • Investing into walking and bike paths to give Hoosiers the freedom to choose how they travel in their cities and towns.

Public Schools

  • We will remove the restrictions against teachers unions and allow them to bargain not only for salary but for working conditions, class conditions, class size, and more.

  • Allow schools to create evidence based curriculums that will best help their communities thrive. Listening to the professionals that we trust with our children, and following their guidance.

  • Our voucher program was well intentioned to begin with, but we cannot allow wealthy families to subsidize their private schooling costs with public tax payer dollars. We need and will prioritize a robust public education system that lifts all children.

Utilites and Energy

  • We don’t have to reinvent the wheel. We can follow the steps other states have taken to stop utility companies from screwing over residents.

    Take the POWER Act and the Fair Energy Act from Oregon which forces large energy users, like data centers, to pay the full price for their energy. And in addition it caps rate increases and requires more review and more time between rate changes.

  • Our state deserves a well rounded, clean, renewable energy grid that supports it’s residents and lowers cost for everyone.

    The benefits of creating a Green Grid include but aren’t limited to:

    • Long lasting blue collar jobs that support the community

    • Lower energy costs due to the abundant free energy from the sun and winds.

    • Make Indiana more resilient to chaotic weather, foreign governments, and unforeseen events.

    • Lower pollution levels so our families can enjoy the beautiful land we find ourselves on.

Legalizing Marijuana

  • A majority of Indiana residents support legalization of Marijuana in some capacity. It is time representatives listened and legalized it.

  • Since legalization in 2020, Michigan has made $840 Million dollars in tax revenue alone. This doesn’t include the benefit to farmers or the jobs it would create to boost our economy.

  • We will be saving both time and money as our law enforcement won’t be chasing after low-level, non violent misdemeanors.
